The Korean government is now working on the second phase of the “Industrial R&D Subsidy Overhaul,” a project it launched last April. It is expected to put more focus on cutting the red tape in the industrial R&D sector.

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy, currently in charge of the project, announced, on the 29th, its measures to promote efficiency in the management and operation of knowledge economy R&D business, and said on that day that it will implement them from the second half of this year.

These, which came after last April’s “Industrial R&D Subsidy Overhaul” as a second-phase effort in the improvement of R&D business operations, are aimed at shifting the “management-centered” R&D business operation to a “performance and customer-centered” one.
