Ahnlab Announces Support for Microsoft Network Access Protection Technololgy
AhnLab, Inc, a leading provider of Anti-Virus solutions in Korea today announced that it has joined the partner ecosystem supporting Microsoft Network Access Protection(NAP) technology.
NAP is a policy enforcement technology built into the Windows Vista and Windows Server, codenamed “Longhorn” OS that allows customers to better protect network assets from unhealthy computers by enforcing compliance with network health policies. Microsoft’s NAP technology is publicly available with trial versions of Windows Vista, and available to select partners and customers with Beta 2 of the future version of Windows Server, codename “Longhorn.”
The AhnLab NAP solution supports NAP through AhnLab Policy Center 3.0 and V3 Internet Security 7.0 Platinum (V3 IS 7.0 Platinum). AhnLab Policy Center 3.0 performs as a remediation server and anti-virus policy server in Network Access Protection Service. V3 Internet Security 7.0 Platinum Enterprise functions as a service of NAP agent while employing AhnLab Policy Center 3.0 as a policy server.
“When the system is not healthy, AhnLab Policy Center 3.0 and V3 Internet Security 7.0 Platinum Enterprise will prevent viruses by automatically blocking the compromised computer from the network and then remediate a safe security posture,’ said Jinkyo Jung, Marketing Manager, Information Security Business Group, AhnLab Corporation.
